Glenn Harris owns and runs Efficient Training Solutions. Based in South Derbyshire, right on the county borders of Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands. With easy access to all the major travel routes we find ourselves travelling all around the country and even into the rest of Europe.
Even though Glenn owns and runs Efficient Training Solutions and it is in effect a sole trader business. Glenn does recruit in trainers with the right expertise to help on training projects for his clients. That is also why you will see that we always refer to we rather than I as all the trainers Glenn uses are treated exactly like his own staff and Glenn trusts them to deliver the highest quality training he expects from all his trainers.
This is not unlike a lot of training companies even the so called larger training companies buy in the expertise when needed.
We design all our courses to suit your business need, if you are not sure what is needed, we will work closely with you to make sure the course delivers what you need it to achieve.
So why are we called Efficient Training Solutions?
It has been asked on several occasions, “is there any inefficient training?” To be honest, yes there is. How often have you been on a course and the trainer just goes through a series of slides or page by page through the manual. Not only that, how often have you then sat back and really thought about what you have learnt and how much of it you are going to use in your day to day work.
A mistake a lot of trainers make is to just keep giving more and more content, rather than making sure the students are using what they are learning and have a use for it when they go back to work. We work on making sure we have relevant content, exercises that reflect your business use and we always offer a trainers evaluation of all students. This feedback is essential for you to be able to offer the best support to your staff, after the training as taken place.
We design all our courses to suit your business need, if you are not sure what is needed, we will work closely with you to make sure the course delivers what you need it to achieve. We will make sure the course is linked back to your company objectives and any competencies you have in place.
We do not offer Open Courses as we feel they do not offer the best value for the money spent on them. We do offer workshops that we call Espresso Knowledge sessions which you can find out more about through this link.
We strongly believe that just having the training is not learning! Training only makes up 10% of how we learn. 20% would be through coaching (i.e. use super users or others that have attended the course in your business to assist them) and 70% is experiential (doing). The 70% is where a lot of companies fail to plan. We will work with you to put in place the full learning package and highlight areas you can help your staff retain the most from their training.
